This brew is soured in our brew kettle giving a sharp tartness and puckering mouthfeel. This light bodied brew is great for a hot summer day.

Not much to look at. Clear pale straw yellow, no head, no lace. Subdued lemony aroma, some tartness. Tart and lemony again to taste. Just a wee dose of wheat. Light on the palate. Refreshing but unremarkable.

473 mL can purchased at Metro; dated Jul 25 2019, listed at 4.2% and served at cellar temperature.
Pours lightly fogged, featuring a pale golden yellow-coloured which briefly supports half an inch of foamy white head. It sizzles off within the next couple of minutes, leaving behind a thin collar and an otherwise barren surface. No lace to speak of; looks like a typical BW. Its aroma is relatively muted, but generally on point for the style - I'm getting hints of grape must, lemon, floral hops and a touch of 'gym bag' funkiness, with suggestions of grainy, crackery wheat malt.
It's straightforward, but pretty tasty - though I'll note that it's not nearly as sour as most BWs, which may or may not be a plus depending on your preferences. Grainy pale malts and crackery wheat sweetness are apparent, with flavours of grape, orange and floral hops joining in alongside the light lemony lacto tartness. Brief shades of grape and stone fruit in the aftertaste, which soon fades into a lightly tart, lemony note with just a touch of floral hoppiness. Light in body, with moderate carbonation levels that provide a nice, crisp bite; it's refreshing, but also a little watery, and I think a little more lacto sharpness might've helped mask this aspect IMO. Its drinkability is through the roof.
Final Grade: 3.79, a respectable B+. 1³ isn't the most exciting, complex or novel Exchange product that I've tried so far, but I can't rightfully say it's anything less than a solid Berliner Weisse. It's not especially sour, yet I still found its fruity flavour profile to be rather appealing, while the beer itself is highly drinkable (if not particularly memorable). Worth a try if you can find it, but I wouldn't search high and low for more - though I might keep an eye out for a fresh batch and compare notes if possible, because this can is 9 months old and that's not exactly the prime age to serve a light beer.

473 ml can into a pint glass. Review from notes and purchased for around $3.50 CDN.
Appearance - pale, slightly hazy golden color, modest head.
Smell - Slightly sour, but more crackery and grainy than anything else.
Taste - Slightly sour and tart, but a plentiful amount of light grains are filling this up with ever-present wheat flavors.
Mouthfeel - Light bodied, with some creaminess from the wheat.
Overall - Not a classic rendition of the style as it is far too wheaty and grainy to make this style, but tastes like a diluted sour and with the wheat base makes this a pretty decent beer. Nothing outstanding but worth a try,

Pours a bright clear golden straw with a moderate head that quickly dissipates. Slightly tart over underlying fruit sweetness. A refreshing example of style - worked well on a hot day.

Had the Apricot version on Tap at the brewery poured into a tulip.
A: Turbid Yellow tan body with a chunky whit head.
S: Light Apricot and wheat a little light crackery malts. As it warms it has an odd smell like opening a bag of balloons.
T: Nice Apricot, peach, wheat taste with just a mild tartness.
M: Medium to lighter body fairly easy light finish.
O: fairly enjoyable beer until about mid way through it and you start to get that odd smell. The smell is so off putting I never had another glass although it tasted ok.

The base beer, without any fruit. On tap at the source. Very malty to make this palatable to a seniors' crowd.
