473 ml can served into a chalice. LCBO purchase for around $3,.75 CDN, Canned July 15, 2022. A whisky-sour inspired saison.
Appearance - Pretty pale golden brew that kind of has a neon yellow tinge to it. A small half finger is poured and evaporates in seconds.
Smell - Some sourness, some funk and a smattering or orchard fruits in the background.
Taste - quite sour with some lemon, a little funkiness elements of wood and maybe some apple. I don;t get a whole else, certainly no whiskey or mixed drink vibes. Tart, sour and a little funky but lacking the depth that many a good saison (or sour for that matter has).
Mouthfeel - Well carbonated, medium bodied, leaning towards light and a bone dry finish.
Overall - Part saison, part sour but overall miss for me as I can't see myself enjoying this to any great length. This brew will appeal to some, but leans to far into the sour territory and hits the same one note every time.
