473 mL can from Superstore; dated Oct 25 2023 and served slightly chilled. That's pretty old for an IPA, so I'll keep that in mind.
Pours a foggy orange-amber colour, topped with an inch of soapy, foamy white head that lasts for three minutes or so. By that point, it has wilted down to a thick, sudsy collar surrounding a thin cap, with a generous coat of lace applied to the glass. Grapefruit juice on the nose, overlapping with a mishmash of caramel, orange, floral hops and pine resin.
Oh, this takes me back - a robust malt backbone of bready, wheaty flavours and light honey sweetness, with C-hops upon C-hops. Grapefruit for days, with flavours of orange, lemon and berries giving way to a floral, earthy, highly pine resin-y back end. Piney aftertaste with lingering bitterness and hints of berry sweetness. Medium in body, with relatively low carbonation that contributes to this pale ale's smooth, frothy mouthfeel. I found this very drinkable for 6.5%, and could've easily downed another glass with no fuss.
Final Grade: 3.92, a B+. I do love a solid west coast IPA, and I'd say The Exchange's Two-Way IPA qualifies. I plan to look for another, hopefully more reasonably-fresh can later this week, and will update this review if I'm able to find one. To make myself clear, this can did not taste 'stale' - at least not to me - however, it would obviously be more fair to judge a can that isn't practically eight months old.

This can is dated Feb 13 2024, i.e. 4½ months, which I guess is better than 8 months. It did seem significantly more bitter this time 'round, favouring the earthy/resiny/piney elements over the grapefruit that dominated my last serving. That's definitely in line with the West coast theme, and is a point in its favour if you prefer old school IPAs over the hazy stuff. I'm leaving its grade alone for now, but if I find an actual fresh can, that may change at some point.

473 ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase for around $4 CDN. Canned January 9, 2024.
Appearance - Hazy coppery colored brew with amber highlights. Two fingers of rocky off-white head are poured on top and stays a while.
Smell - Orange mostly with a hint of pineapple. Some piney qualities too in the background. Caramel malts backing everything up.
Taste - Orange and grapefruit up front, pith and pine in the background. Quite earthy in the finish. Some cereal grains mixed in there too more so than other WCIPA's.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, soft carbonation and semi-dry finish. Pretty easy drinker.
Overall - A slightly better beer than expected, well made traditional west coast IPA. Nothing more, nothing less.
