this brew manages to be enjoyable and weirdly complex within the space of a dadgum sneeze.
whatever the base brew was, it was a solid 4-on-the-floor before getting it's delightful brains bashed in by that Jameson Barrel.
Now, ascending from the cask like Kakarot from the hyperbolic time chamber, the base brew presents itself at well over 9000 and enjoys finer conversations as a result as well.
Jameson can do that to a body, believe you me!

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a deep brown color with a one finger head of tan colored foam. The head has a moderate level of retention, very slowly fading over time to leave tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is quite massive of a sweeter caramel and molasses smell mixed with a moderate showing of roasted malt and a bit of chocolate. Along with these smells comes a little bit of a dark fruit aroma of prune and raisin as well as a little bit of oak and a touch of a spiced rum like smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather moderately roasty and rather robust sweetness with a big showing of molasses and brown sugar as well as some of the dark fruits that were hinted at in the nose. There is a touch of chocolate in there as well, but it is light with it remaining so throughout the taste. All the while the roastiness gets lighter and a bit of whiskey booziness comes to the tongue, leaving one with a sweet and slightly warming taste to linger on the tongue
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation that is moderate. A little thicker of a body may have been slightly better for the sweet and boozy tastes of the brew, but overall it was a decent feel.
Overall – Not really what I would consider a stout in many respects. It comes across much more like a wee heavy or scotch ale then a stout. Any which way, it is a rather brew and a nice slow sipper. Just don’t expect anything all that roasty…
