A sports inspired beer, I can dig it, too many video game, band and cartoon pop culture beer IP infringements out there. untappd says this is 7%, but my can says 6.11%.
Pours the most familiar of all beer colors (golden) with a slight cloudiness to it. 1/2" white head. Mosaic hops are here and in large supply, kicks down that big bouquet of tropical fruits like guava, papaya and passion fruit. Still not super familiar with Idaho Gem, but it didn't do anything to take away from the bright tropical aromas.
Taste is equally impressive. You get a bit of a hodgepodge of everything here. Juicy, sweet, hoppy, bitter, dry, all in the same beer. Yes, the juicy and hoppy qualities lead the pack, but it doesn't drape itself in one trick pony land, this does a lot of things at the same time (or in the same beer). Right amount of carbonation. Easy to crush and enjoy.
Tell you what, between this and Strata Breach, Laughing Monk is 2 for 2 in making excellent hoppy beers. Will continue to buy their stuff.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
