This is listed as a cold ipa, using the Pink Boots Society hop blend.
Low aroma. Moderate bitterness. Interesting hop profile, grows on me as it warms. Enjoyed at the brewery.

Picked this up recently at a Whole Foods in San Francisco as I never had anything from Laughing Monk before and yeah, I was drawn to the 80's can down to it's Pink Boots Brew collaboration day logo. This turned out to be an enjoyable beer that was deep in flavor, nicely balanced, and strong in all attributes.
This had a good pour to it as it was golden, slightly hazy, and subtly radiant. Nice aroma of mango, guava, white chocolate, and spelt as the taste contained a bit of fresh forest, weed, and grain as this beer had understated depth to it that quickly drew me in and never let go. Lots of full bread in the mouthfeel, more in taste than in spice, as the carbonation was light and enduring and the lacing in the form of two thick and slanted rings near the middle of my pint glass. Stone fruit rind, exotic hops, and a hint of orange blossom fruit emerged once this fully warmed up as this was wonderfully complex and subtly sticky in the back.
The amount of alcohol was spot on as this warmed me up a bit and was enough to complement the vast array of notes present from start to finish. Dated 4/4 on the bottom of the can with "PINKBOOTS15!" written above it, this was quite the first impression from Laughing Monk as this had me curious about the collaboration. Buy it for the label and enjoy it for how much else was going on here, as I was so glad to get my hands on this limited release can!
