I've spent a bunch of time in Gahanna but I never knew of this brewer. I picked this one up locally (Saveon). It's OK. Pretty soon I won't be going to Gahanna much any more since my daughter's family will be moving to New Albany.
This AIPA pours a nice cloudy yellow with very little head. The aroma is subdued but clean, hoppy IPA smell. The taste is a nice crisp bitter - not quite a west coast, but one dimensionally dry and bitter (that's not a bad thing for an AIPA). The aftertaste is a nice, refreshing, not too biting or bitter experience.
Not recommended - there are plenty of better AIPAs, but there isn't really anything wrong with it either.

I got this off the single shelf at the Kroger neat the Metro South Sports pled. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had floral hops. The taste leaned bitter with floral hop presence. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's ok.

I'm sorry. This is just not a good IPA. Forget the mouthfeel and the floral overtones with hints of grapefruit that so many pompous reviews mention, this beer does not taste good.

Pretty average. Bought while in Cincinnati.
Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Fairly clear dark yellow. Thin head and lacing. Fruity smell. Taste is citrusy and a bit piney. Good, but not something I would seek out.

Clear light amber, with a thin white head. Mild citrus/tropical fruit aroma. Touch of pine and citrus in the flavor, with some caramel after it. This fades out to a mild bitter finish. Not quite as in your face as I prefer my IPA's to be, as this one is much more subdued. It's a solid one, but I don't think it'll be one I pick up again.

I don't know how you can make a bad IPA but here it is.
Slightly cloudy, straw colored beer from Kindred in Columbus. It's bitter, much like me after spending money on a single can of this stuff. Oof, I will not be revisiting this one, certainly not intentionally. Poured most of it down the drain and I never do that. Seriously, one of the worst beers I've ever had.

Yayyyyyyy! Love to be the first to review a new beer. Uninteresting to look at or smell, but nice to taste. Malty aftertaste and not as much hops as I generally prefer...still the quality is evident and I'll be happy to try others from this Columbus brewer.
