Brewed by Case (casemw) of RJ Rockers specifically for one of their taste & tour sessions! Big thanks for that Case and Mark! Served from tap into an RJ Rockers shaker. Poured brown with a slight purple hue with a minimal off-white head. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, blackberries, subtle cream, blackberry seeds, and subtle bitter hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, blackberries, cream, and bitter blackberry seeds. It had a light feel on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew, but definitely had it shortfalls at the same time. The blackberry seeds really killed this one for me. With talking to Case he determined this was due to the method used to process the blackberries that allowed the seeds to also be opened up and allow their bitter by nature flavor profile to show up. Besides this fact it was a solid brew. Was really glad to see Rockers trying new things and look forward to trying other new offerings in the future as well! Tick.
