16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/19/2019. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger dense and rocky tan head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, molasses, raisin, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Minimal booziness in the aromas as it warm. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity, dark/roast/black/bready malts, coffee, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Light pine, herbal, grass, wood, pepper, roast, charred, coffee bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, dark bread/crust, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/black/bready malts, coffee, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; with no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitter dryness. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and lightly slick/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 11.5%, with minimal lingering booziness after the finish. Overall this is an awesome flavored imperial stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/black/bready malts, coffee, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the mellowly bitter/charred/drying finish. Awesome soft/silky feel, mildly bitter/charred. Awesome balance of super rich malts, and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with solid earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering hop/char bitter dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example.

poured from a 16oz can into a Narrow Gauge taster glass. pours pitch black with minimal sandy brown head that doesn’t stick around long but leaves a tan ring around the glass. smell is quite subtle on the coffee. more roast with some darker fruit characters. it’s definitely there and certainly is representative of the type of coffee used this time around. still smells and tastes very good. feel is immaculate, as was the last Inga Community iteration. almost still as far as carbonation goes. overall, i think i prefer the Inga Community version to this but this was still very, very good.
