poured from a 16oz can into a willi becher pint glass. pours a clear straw gold with three fingers worth of fluffy head. nose is hop-forward with a musty and spicy aroma. taste has less of the hoppiness with a clean lager finish. mouthfeel is medium full with a little less carbonation than i would prefer. it lacks the crispiness i usually associate with the style. overall, this beer skips the breadiness of a typical pilsner / lager for more of an american pilsner taste and aromas. the hops work really well with the style and if this had more carbonation to it, i feel like it would be a great beer. still a good beer.
