Black in color with no light penetration. There’s a fingernail of brown around the rim and covering two thirds of the top. The aroma is of ginger, molasses, vanilla, and cinnamon. I taste ginger, cinnamon, ginger (yes, more), vanilla, and molasses. The mouth is warm with spices and chewy. The ginger pricks the tongue.
