Black in color with no light penetration. There’s a fingernail of brown around the rim and covering half of the top. The aroma is of vanilla beans and lactose. I’m tasting vanilla beans and sweet lactose. The mouth is very smooth and refreshing.

This one is all vanilla, lactose and roasted malt. It’s unusual but pretty good.

Pours black with two fingers of khaki foam. Head formation is good and dense. Aroma is sugary sweet. It leads out with lactose, followed quickly by bread and cake batter. Roasty and mild toasty malts add some depth. Vanilla syrup is drizzled over the whole thing. Flavor profile leads out with vanilla bean. Toffee and lactose add additional sugar. Roasty and toasty malts round it out. Sugary sweet, but not as sweet as the nose implies showing some (emphasis on -some-) constraint. Mouth feel is velvety decadence with a medium-thick consistency. Overall, a sugar dominate dessert stout.

Poured in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can. Reviewed from notes.

Opaque coffee black color with a modest but lasting tan head and some nice lacing.
The aroma is dark chocolate, coffee, dark roasted malt, vanilla, brown sugar.
The taste is lightly sweet coffee with cream, dark chocolate, a touch of brown sugar and vanilla, very nice. The finish is dry with some lingering coffee and cocoa notes.
The body is medium/full, moderate carbonation, creamy smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a very nice example of sweet milk stout, very tasty and enjoyable, a good way to start the day, or finish it, nice after dinner brew.

Aroma is chocolate, dark malts and vanilla/very close to marshmallows. The flavor is fruit, chocolate, dark malts and an acidic/big vanilla/marshmallow sweet finish.

On draft at Billiards on Broadway. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of vanilla, chocolate, toffee and molasses. Sweet chocolate with vanilla, caramel and molasses.

Roasty malt and vanilla on the nose. Palate leads with baker’s chocolate bitterness and finishes thin but appropriate for the style. Vanilla sweetness lingers.
