Drinking out of a large snifter.
Pours a very hazy orange with a full head.
Huge whift of tropical fruit smell when you open the can.
Nice thick mouthfeel.
Tangy taste of pineapple.

Pretty decent but not particularly distinct in character -- has some dank zesty citrus notes, wildflower honey, and a bit of leafy bitterness.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass not sure when it was canned, but thinking with in the last 3 weeks. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves streaks of lace all over the place. 4.25
Aroma is mango, blueberry, honeydew, passionfruit, and apricot. 4.5
Taste follows mango, honeydew, blueberry, passionfruit, and apricot. 4.5
Mouthfeel is above average, soft carbonation, not sticky or dry, and at 8.2% packed with flavor but easy going down. 4.5
Overall this a very nice NEDIPA. I would recommend for sure. 4.5

It's difficult for me to write this review because, after each sip, I keep having to tamp down my nipples, whose excitement is distending my t-shirt to disturbing extents. Very well-balanced beer. Tropical, but not overly so. Hard to believe it's 8.2%. I'm a big fan of this one, even if I'm going to have to replace my t-shirt each time I have one. Thanks to Courtney for this and Ghosts in the Sky.

First had this at the Blackback Pub in Waterbury, VT. & it was my favorite brew that night. Looks like a dense glass of O.J. Has that sublime dank tropical smell & taste that I believe comes from the Galaxy hops, very similar to Attacus Atlas. The taste is amazing dank citrus with a beautiful lingering aftertaste. Perfect brewski that pairs well with Metallica - Seek and Destroy!

On tap at the Blackback Pub in Waterbury, VT. Pours a milky yellow-orange with a nice white head of foam. Smell is amazing, with all the citrus fruits plus that sweaty dank Citra thing underneath. Taste follows, but maybe not quite on the same par as the smell. Smooth feel, really good beer.

Hazy pineapple color with a dense off-white head that tracks down the glass as you enjoy the beer. The nose is filled with loads of citrus aromas, including the aforementioned pineapple, grapefruit, and juicy oranges.
The pineapple and grapefruit are forward on the taste, and the juicy oranges are also present. This is a citrus bomb of the highest magnitude, IMHO.

New River Roost IPA #2 Sunday
Here we have the second and final IPA from this brewery sent to me by the generous @jhavs
Big Smooth, coming in at 8.2%.
Look: This beer is similar in appearance to the last one. Opaque, and murky, while maintaining the “brightness” in color that attracts me visually to the style. . Golden amber color. A touch darker it seems than the 6.7% IPA I had earlier, but this beer embodies the same appearance. That of the NEIPA. It is an attractive looking beer, with a tall, fluffy and bone white head that settles down a bit, but still sits a finget high with a lot of lacing left behind. Zero visible carbonation.
Smell: Creamy, smoothie-like tropical fruit, including ripe mango, a hint of pineapple, and a sweet bready malt profile. Neither green nor minty like the last one. Also, none of the cooked grain profile noted on the prior beer. Zero indications of the 8.2% ABV.
Taste: This IPA is all sweet and juicy tropical and stone fruit smoothie on the palate. Mostly sweet mango, with some blueberry and white peach. Slightly dry with some red delicious apple skin bitterness on the finish.
Feel: Smooth and creamy. Medium level of carbonation. Very light and airy on the palate.
Overall: Another great IPA from River Roost. Lots of tropical and stone fruit up front balanced out by a dry and moderately bitter finish. Excellent stuff. Dangerously drinkable at 8.2%. This beer lives up to its name.
Once again, thank you @jhavs for this delicious IPA from River Roost. Another well crafted beer
