Poured on draft at the brewery.
Pours a cloudy copper color with a half-finger of subtly off-white head. The head leaves little lacing as it settles into nothingness.
The aroma brings lots of caramel malts, banana, and a faint metallic note. Not very pleasant.
The flavor follows suit. Lots of caramel, some sweet bread, and a hint of peppery spice on the finish.
The feel is light bodied with good carbonation. Crisp and drinkable. A bit cloying.
Overall, definitely not feeling this one. It's far too sweet for the style and there is really no depth or complexity whatsoever. Pass.

4oz sample at the source.
Mostly clear dark brown with a lightly bubbled white head that persists. Aromas of light caramel clove and spice. Flavor is sweet bready caramel, a bit too sweet imho for any Saison. Faint spicy clove and pepper flavor. Not a fan.
