A- Tallboy can into a becher with a hazy pale golden body and a thick one finger creamy white head. Good head retention and a ring leaved large sheets of lace.
S- Classic Saison yeast makes up most of the aroma with a solid bit of hops in the background. Coriander, mild peppercorns, citrus zest, bitter orange, Belgian yeast spice, cooking herbs and floral notes come to mind.
T- Spicy Saison yeast is the driving force here as it was in the aroma. The pepper and coriander spiciness opens things up for support from bitter citrus zest, cooking herbs, grassy, cardamom, floral, orange, vanilla sweets and a hint of grapefruit notes. A touch of whole grain peeks out now and then. Mostly dry.
MF- Smooth and silky medium body that fluffs up on the palate with a solid creaminess. High level of carbonation and a bitter hoppy finish.
A great use of Saison yeast to get a strong flavor profile without going over the top with it. The hops and assertive yeast compliment each other quite well.
