Canned 2023/04/11
Pours a frothy 1/2 finger head with moderate retention, fair soapy lacing, clear orange-copper color
Nose herbal grassy hops, a bit earthy mushroomy, fair sweet malt that's a bit biscuity and toasty, bread crust, a touch of fruity notes
Taste brings hop again up front, herbal earthy, grassy, hint of mushroom and pine, very UK like, bordering vegetal even, fair sweet malt, again biscuity toasty, bread crust like, med bitterness, a hint metallic, but fair fruity esters, semi sweet slightly drying finish with more fruity esters, big herbal turning spicy hop finish, med to a bit higher bitterness
Mouth is med bod, med to lighter carb
Overall not bad, not terrible, but doesn't give me the same greatness as most of the original UK versions
