Hazy Double IPA hopped with Citra T90, Citra Cryo, Simcoe Cryo, Riwaka T90 and Riwaka Cryo. The result is an expressive citrus and tropical fruit character with notes of tangerine, peach and berry.

Canned 2/3/25, consumed from a modified perfect pint glass with etched carbonation initiation grid. Opaque deep yellow, super creamy 1 finger head, not a lot of lacing, not an impressive amount of smell, although my sense of smell is not great. Complex flavors that are hard to identify, although after reading the desciption, my imagination tells me “ ya maybe some mild citrus+very subtle peach or nectarine+borderline imaginary berries”. Certainly nothing overt and obvious; a subtle mash of several flavors. Enjoyable, but I don't think it is one of Madewest's best IPA offerings to date.

Packaged on February 3rd, imbibed on February 22nd, 2024. Poured from a pint can into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.
Turbid peach-gold body with a soft magnolia cap. Rich, soapy lacing; very good retention.
Potent aromatics, lots of crushed orange with lower tropical notes suggesting pineapple and passion-fruit. Sweet and inviting.
Waves of rock candy and tropical fruit on the palate. Moderate but persistent bitterness. Medium-dry finish with a touch of residual sweetness suggesting barley, vanilla wafers, and blueberry.
Creamy, medium-light bodied, rich yet refreshing.
Well crafted, balanced example of the style, with a kick of extra intensity compared to their (quite good) standard hazy offering.
