A black lager claimed to be "brewed with squid ink." Color is not exactly inky, but plenty dark brown. Quite spritzy in the mouth, even on opening the recapped bottle the next day. Slight toasted malt aroma.
I wonder if Mollusk has produced the first squid ink beer? Using the strangest ingredients seems to be their idea of normal fun. Overall this is a quite drinkable beer of no great distinction, but it has a pleasant roasted grainy taste. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle.
