Astoundingly red color with plenty of white foam in the Blanche de Chambly goblet. Brewed with oak and cherries. Sharp and very fragrant with fruit. The cherry flavor is quite delicious with that edge of tartness. I wouldn't say it's funky, but certainly some Belgian yeasty notes.
Overall this is a highly sippable wild ale, much better than the endless vinegar bombs. I wish more brewers would get a bottle of this and reflect on their sins. "Sour" doesn't need to be undrinkable, just try Rodenbach, which this reminds me of. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station.
