Nearly clear pale amber with modest foam in the Brigand chalice. Quite spritzy and tangy on the tongue. "Brewed with lemons" is the only comment from Mollusk, and it does have lemons and oysters on the label. It's more malty than hoppy. Hints of citrus in the nose and more in the flavor, which is mostly bready.
This is an interesting lighter style of beer (5% ABV). But in Mollusk fashion they manage to make even a Pale Ale something oddball. Still, it's very drinkable and not overly flavored. It combines a malty mouthfeel with a refreshing watery aftertaste that has just a smack of citrus. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station up north.
