From a crowler into a shaker pint glass. Pours clear deep rusty red with a thin white head, low carbo, minimal lacing. The aroma is that of brown bread and moist grains with caramelization and a hint of distant fruit. This is a really nice Marzen with delicious maltings that have a bit of a moist whole grain bread taste and there is a hint of background smoke. Lightly sweet, medium bodied, and a very smooth and colorful finish that has a subtle overripe fruit note. Extremely well balanced. It is excellent. It clocks in at 24 IBU.
