From the birthplace of hip hop, comes hib-hop; a balance of hibiscus, rosehips, lemongrass, and whole cone Sorachi Ace hops.

Hazy, amber color. Big, white head. Floral aroma with notes of flowers, fruits and yeasts. Rather sweet taste with a slight tartness and mild bitterness. Lacks some dryness, but interesting in general.

Large bottle, w/o freshness or vintage(label refers to this bottle getting better for years to come) info to be had...procured at Brew and Co. in Bedford, NY

Pours clouded lighter ruby in color, pillowy lite khaki cap leaving world class froth, sheeting and lacing splattered all over the glass.

Complex nose loaded with fruit, flower and spice notes.

More of the same on the palate...fruity, spicy, flowery...complex and delicious..notes of lemon, ginger, pepper, melon, lime, mango...all sorts of things going on here.

Great stuff...well worth seeking out...went great with tangy goat cheese and some peppery salad greens

The beer comes in a reddish with a mixture of purple and red.

The beer pops of hibiscus flavors upfront, spice qualities presumably from the rose hips and lemongrass jump through, along with a bit of pepper. As with their beers, like endless effervescence as the beer is floating on the palate with endless bubbles. Sorachi lemon flavor jumps through onto a medium plus bitterness onto a dry dry finish.

A: The beer is light pinkish purple in color and is very hazy—too hazy to see if there is any visible carbonation. it poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that settled down, leaving a patch of bubbles in the center, a collar around the edge, and a thin layer of bubbles on the surface in between.
S: Light to moderate aromas of hibiscus and rose hips are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having stronger flavors of rose hips with notes of hibiscus and hints of lemongrass (the latter of which becomes a bit stronger as the beer warms up). There is a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very interesting and unique saison—I really enjoyed the aromas and flavors.
