From a growler via the brewery in a snifter. This nice wee heavy pours a dark
red tinged mahogany with a modest head of white foam that settles to a thin ring and light
lacing. Nose of sweet brown sugars, subtle dark fruits, light toffee notes. Flavors exceed the nose
with light raisin and brown sugar notes touched with cherry and warming booze with very subtle
herbal hop notes. Nice mouth feel; medium body, medium carbonation, lightly slick malt presence,
and a lightly warming finish.
Overall, a solid wee heavy.
