From a 12 oz can. This one needs some time to breathe, or at least warm up, as IPAs do. Or maybe most beers that aren't associated with rural intermarriage and competitive spitting. I say this not as a beer snob, but as someone whose roots wind tight around those places where a case of cold PBR is an appropriate wedding gift and the groom's the one in the *clean* Dale Jr. shirt.
It's a big IPA. Not monstrous. Not epic. It's put in the extra effort to climb above the regulation IPA ABV echelon. And what is that, anyway? Isn't 9% pretty much the ground floor for an imperial? It's a far cry from the penthouse, where truly ferocious beers like 120 Minute look you straight in the eye and wink while swinging all 18 percent. We're talking some big D(ogfish Head) energy.
Are we...are we still talking about beer?

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had mix of citrus and pine. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with slight pine start but citrus finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.
