A pleasant, flavorful red ale. Bought a four pack of cans from the local Total Wine.
Poured into a tulip glass. Dark reddish brown color with a big fluffy beige head and good curtain lacing. Smell and taste of caramel and a bit of root beer. Earthy with a pleasant bitter finish. Fairly full feel. Overall a beer I would get again.

This was pretty solid, and I liked it a bit more than I thought I would. Sometimes reds are too this or too that, but this one was nice and balanced, and very drinkable. I'd like to see this brewery take a few more chances on styles of beer, but it's hard to argue with a good dependable red.
