Collaboration with Melvin Brewing
This limited release IPA with Melvin Brewing is a blend of East and West coast styles. Brewed with London III and Cal Yeast for a soft and juicy IPA that still has plenty of west coast bitterness . With notes of juicy oranges, tangerines, and sweet peaches this IPA is as classic as it is unique.
Grain Bill: 2-Row, Golden Promise, Maris Otter, White Wheat, Flaked Barley, Flaked Oats, Flaked Rice
Hops: Vic Secret, Amarillo, Nelson

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 6.7.19 for $2.25. No canning date; cold stored at Hop Stop and here. Consumed 7.30.19.
Beer poured golden with a soap bubble head that dissipated quickly.
Nose was very nice, of oranges, grapefruit, and mango.
Taste is fresh oranges, grapefruit, and mango with a light rind bitterness; 5/10 on the bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel was medium bodied and fairly refreshing.
Overall a nice easy drinking modern ipa!

Picked this up with six other beers at Bine & Vine. Didn’t know anything about it, but I saw Melvin, so I was in. Untappd description read, “This limited release IPA with Melvin Brewing is a blend of East and West coast styles. Poured a light amber clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy-to-fizzy off-white head. Lots of fast moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Bad watery lacing. Below average retention. (Sight - 3.25)
Smelled Vic Secret and Nelson for sure on the initial whiff, but wasn’t getting Amarillo. Also pine, black pepper, passion fruit, pineapple, bitter orange rind, grapefruit peel and mango. More Nelson than anything else from the can, but definitely was getting some Amarillo.
(Smell - 4.00)
Tasted similar to the nose. West Coast IPA for sure. Like the nose, got more Nelson and Vic Secret than Amarillo. Also passion fruit, pine, black pepper, bitter orange rind, grapefruit peel, mango and mandarin orange. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was outstanding for a West Coast IPA. Would love to have again. (Overall - 4.00)
