Hazy double dry-hopped double IPA packed with Centennial, Galaxy, Citra, Cashmere, & Motueka hops. There is a slight smooth bitterness, while still staying true to a hazy. Big aromas of citrus, lemon, and tropical fruits.

Glass: North Park 16.5-oz. Munique glass
Price: $4.19
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 16, 2020
Consumed: Dec. 23, 2020
Misc.: No canned on date
Grabbed this and way too much other stuff on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Picked it up without even looking at ratings on Untappd and Beer Advocate. No canned on date, but since I was just there about a week prior and didn’t see it (and a bunch of other Mason Ale Works beers) I figured it was fresh. Untappd description called it “Hazy double dry-hopped double IPA packed with Centennial, Galaxy, Citra, Cashmere, & Motueka hops. There is a slight smooth bitterness, while still staying true to a hazy. Big aromas of citrus, lemon, and tropical fruits.” Not sure I’ve had a lot of Centennial-heavy hazy IPAs (I’m sure I have) but was looking forward to that hop combo.
Poured a medium yellow hazy color with three fingers of frothy off-white head. Pretty calm underneath the head. Very good lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled pine, lime, passion fruit, grapefruit, lemon, dish soap and peach. For mentioned hops, got Centennial, Cashmere and Galaxy leading the way. Much of the same from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted a little better than the nose. In order got Centennial, Cashmere, Galaxy, juicy peach, pine, passion fruit, lemon, lime, dish soap, orange blossom, herbal and peppery spice. Super smooth for 8 pct. ABV. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Very good overall. Once again Mason Ale Works doesn’t blow me away with their IPAs, but I really like almost everything else, including their stouts (regular and barrel aged). (Overall - 3.75)

A - Opaque medium orange gold color with dense white, creamy lacing.
S - Pine and citrus on the nose.
T - Citrus from start to finish with some mild peppery spiciness, and finishes with a light spicy citrus/pine bitterness. Overall, ends more on the sweeter side. Citrus on the backend (grapefruit) builds momentum as you work through the 16 oz can.
M - Thick mouthfeel with a soft texture.
O - Not a stand out by any means (especially at the $15.99 price point with a crowded field of competitors) but it is a solid beer and that works for me.
