Absolutely bursting with Nelson, this collaboration single hopped IPA with our friends over at beer zombies is exploding with the gooseberry and tropical flavors that nelson is known for. All late addition hops and dual dry hops also get rid of any potential bitterness lending to an absolute juice bomb of a Hazy DIPA.

Picked this up on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Would be my third Revengeance, giving Mason's a 4.10 on Feb. 4, 2021 and Citra a 3.80 on April 18, 2021. Untappd description was “Absolutely bursting with Nelson, this collaboration single hopped IPA with our friends over at beer zombies is exploding with the gooseberry and tropical flavors that nelson is known for. Poured a medium yellow-to-light golden semi-hazy color with four fingers of white rocky head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the sides of the glass at different speeds. World-class foamy lacing. Perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)

Smelled Nelson, tangerine, gooseberry, papaya, peach, nectarine and grapefruit peel. Not as good out of the can with (somehow) the addition of wet dog. (Smell - 3.75)

Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got Nelson, tangerine, gooseberry, peach, nectarine, papaya, grapefruit peel, peppery spice and bitter citrus rind. Fairly smooth for 8 pct. ABV. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.25)

A very good hazy DIPA overall, but nowhere as good as I hoped. (Overall - 3.75)

Aroma: Tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus. Appearance: Hazy yellow to orange, medium meringue highly retentive. Flavor: Pineapple, grapefruit, low hop bitterness, light breadiness, some alcohol character, off-dry finish. Mouthfeel: Medium body, smooth, some alcoholic warmth, medium carbonation. Overall: Very intense and juicy, a little overly acidic but overall enjoyable.

Pours a nicely hazy orange color with a slightly creamy off white head that clings to the glass all the way down as you enjoy the beer. The nose has some nice mango, berry, and mango notes, and those are the primary flavors on the taste as well.

The mouthfeel is medium and on the softer side, per the style. This is a nice, juicy hazy that drinks very easily at the 8% ABV.

No date on the can which usually means pass, but I haven't tried enough Nelson forward beers so I took a shot.

Took a while to open up, but a third of the through the can I'm starting to like it. I'm getting grape, melon, and a sort of tart berry. Juicy with no bitterness, kind of mild. Good, but needs more oomph.
