Poured from 750ml crowler into glass. Fill date is marked as'9/27 (2017)'.
Clear, dark amber body. Two finger cream colored head settles to persistent cap. Webs of lacing.
Rich, bready malt aroma, with a little sweetness.
Taste is bready malt forward, followed by sweet toffee/caramel. A little yeast spiciness.
Medium plus mouth feel.
Lends itself to a very good fall celebration drinking beer.

L: pours bright auburn filled with streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a 1.5" cream to light tan cap with good retention
S: smells rich and malty with dark bread crust, a trace of dark sugars, a whisper of spice and a hint of bread dough. Hop aromas are low, malt aromas are medium to medium high
T: Layers of malt lead the flavors. It is rich and slightly sweet with threads of dark sugar, traces of caramel, hints of toffee and butterscotch, and almost molasses.
F: The body is medium full and the carbonation is medium low.
O: This malt forward beer is rich, fulfilling and very drinkable.

L-Deep burnt orange.copper, caramel colored...looks impressive in the glass.
S-Toasted artisan breads...very nice
T-Excellent toasted bready flavor...nice rounded depth to the flavor.
F-Clean...smooth...plenty of body...call it medium...was worried about that at 5% but it is near perfect.
O-Disgruntled gets a lot of publicity for their IPA's, stouts and sours and rightfully so but they also have shown a fine ability to craft quality lagers. I had high expectations for this beer and they were more than met.
