I have mixed feelings on this one. Looks good with a decent amount of froth. I don’t get a whole lot of western hops on the nose, but somehow it opens up with time. Taste is a touch more bitter than expected, although it is refreshing and enjoyable, at least for one beer.

Pours hazy, gold, thick cloudy white foam probably about 1/4 inch. Light pine malt nose. Smooth malty flavor. Oily with resins. Crisp finish, more like a spiced pale than a hearty IPA> Solid.

CAN: 12 fl oz. Ran me $1.69 USD at Stein's Market and Deli in New Orleans, LA.
6.5% ABV.
BODY: Clear vibrant copper. Bright. Obviously filtered.
HEAD: ~5 cm white. Fluffy. Soft.
AROMA: Floral hops (Cascade? Centennial?). Fresh 2-row and concomitant subtle sweetness.
TASTE: Floral, a little juicy, hints of hop oils. Fresh 2-row injects balancing sweetness without going overboard. I don't find any overt crystal or caramalt sticking out.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, approachable, slightly oily, medium-bodied, and refreshing.
Not gushed, astringent, overcarbonated, boozy, hot, or scratchy.
OVERALL: A straightforward no-nonsense IPA that has the hop pungency of your typical pale ale and a hop profile some might call conventional and others might call tired. I'd rather buy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (which boasts superior depth of flavour and is less expensive) if I lived in Louisiana, but it's not a bad beer by any stretch.

A statement before I start, I’ve never written a formal review for beer.
I enjoy the creativeness of craft beer, I know what I like and what I don’t care for.
I don’t know the technical jargon that I’ve seen in other reviews, so please be nice.
Although I’m not a big IPA fan I enjoyed this beer tremendously,
I did not find the beer overly hoppy as some IPA’s can be.
Instead it was a touch fruity with no biter aftertaste.
Something I’m going to recommend to many.

Nearly clear with a golden color. Smallish head but good ring lace.
Floral hop nose. Light pale ale malt background.
The hop bites (in a good way) without becoming extreme. High carbonation with a below average base. A bit earthy initially. Dry throughout. Long aftertaste.
