Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on November 9, 2019. Brewed with Nelson, Citra and Mandarina Bavaria hops. Notes of tangerine, mango and lychee.

Aroma is full of pineapple, medium carbonation, and a clean finish.
This is a pretty solid representation of the style, and at 6.5% ABV, definitely on the sessionable side. I would definitely seek this out again in the future.

16 fl oz pull-tab CAN. Ran me $6.79 USD plus tax at a beer store in New Orleans, making this possibly the most expensive 16 fl oz turbid IPA single I've ever bought...
6.5% ABV. "Murky IPA." 2019 vintage. From their website: brewed with "Cashmere, El Dorado, Motueka & Mandarina Bavaria Hops."
Pours a murky dull yellow-orange...it's not much to look at, lacking vibrance and life. Head is a predictable off-white. Head is fluffy and long-lasting (~8 minutes), and appears soft and inviting.
Appears well-carbonated overall. Appearance is far from great for an IPA, though.
AROMA: Wheat, 2-row, floral hop aromatics. It's quite restrained, lacking pungency. Faint tropical fruit. Maybe citrus.
TASTE: Mango, myrcene-heavy hops, soft wheat, 2-row malt, coconut, more mango with concomitant citric acidity, bitter orange, floral hop flavour, mild hop burn. The wheat and 2-row keep it accessible and even refreshing, but the hop burn accompanying the aggressive mango gives it edge. This isn't your run of the mill India Odwalla Ale; they aren't shying away from hop pungency or flavour like so many underwhelming turbid IPAs. Bitterness is downplayed compared to traditional IPAs, but hop flavour hasn't been compromised on to make that happen.
Finishes creamy with lingering coconut dominating the mellow aftertaste and quelling the hop burn, making me crave the next sip. Smooth, wet, refreshing, aptly medium-bodied, well-carbonated. Not oily, gushed, hot, astringent, boozy, harsh, rough, or scratchy, but it's certainly an aggressive beer for its moderate ABV.
More subtle hop notes of herbal tea and even sage are present, lending this offbeat IPA additional intricacy. There's a lot going on here that isn't conventional, helping this stand out from the herd - something you need in a style this oversaturated.
OVERALL: Makes the most of its inspired hop varietal selection, showcasing the chosen hops well individually and in synergy. It's a highly drinkable and very well executed turbid IPA...easily one of the best I've tried this year. I had sticker shock when I saw how much I'd paid for this on my receipt, but I have to say it's pretty damn impressive. I don't think I'd pay $21 a 4 pack regularly (the usual price per their website) and I certainly wouldn't shell out $7+ a single again, but it's a damn fine expression of the substyle and I look forward to trying more beers from this brewery as a result. More noteworthy work out of San Diego.
B+ / VERY GOOD

Hazy yellow body with a fluffy and bubbly white head head. Orange, papaya, lemon zest, lychee, white grape, and lime aromas with hops verging on green. Taste has good bitterness from the hops, but there is some metal and hop burn too, fruits are zesty citrus from the smell plus coconut and tangerine. Besides the slight hop burn, the body is quite nice, and the burn is not on every sip so I guess it averages out, slightly thick, almost wheaty, with good hop textures melding in

Canned 10/8/19; drank 11/10/19 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge off-white head; tick, frothy tree-rung lace.
Orange citrus, wheat & mild cream notes in the nose.
Soft, medium mouthfeel.
Orange citrus, mild banana & faint wheat flavors up front; mild cream notes on the finish.
A very pleasant, enjoyable take on the style.
