Had on-tap at Pure Project in San Diego, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 16oz snifter, thin white head sitting atop. Hazy and light, dull orange in color. Lacing is a thin film that coats the glass wonderfully.
Smell - Citrusy and slightly earthy, with grapefruit skin and hints of stonefruit.
Taste - Follows the nose. Mild grapefruit-like character, with some pith and skin qualities. Light, earthy herbal notes. Light orange sweetness develops mid-taste. Aftertaste lingers with mild grapefruit pith bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with light carbonation. Slick and velvety smooth in texture with a refreshing finish, though it falls a bit flat.
Overall - A pretty good beer, though it doesn't quite fit in with what's come to expect of the hazy IPA style. More bitter than juicy.
