A rich and decadent Imperial Stout aged in barrels that initially held bourbon, but were most recently filled with maple syrup. The barrels impart a warming bourbon aroma along with subtly smooth maple and chocolate notes.

One big perk of going to a taproom is getting the chance to get into the breweries bottle stash. At Pure Project, we were able to pick up an older version of Log Cabin, which was about 5 years aged at this point. The beer was thinned out but still held bold flavors in place. A campfire- smoked maple leads the way, putting this as one of the more aggressive stouts out there. It's amazing how it held up over the years.

Incredibly smooth, roasty, lovely maple, the color and head are exquisite. Really nice as the 5th beer of a flight, perfect drinking at the tap room at Balboa Park.

22 oz. bottle. Smells of oak, bourbon, maple, and roasted malt. Tastes of hefty maple. Strong coffee malt. Bourbon. Oaky twang. Sweet and boozy, though not all that heavy. Pretty flat. Kinda tough to drink, but I can't put my finger on what's really wrong with it.
