We’ve been having fun experimenting with some IPAs that are a departure from the Murky styles that are our mainstay. Stairway To Nowhere is our latest twist on the classic IPA style, and it melds a bit of old school dank and resinous flavors with some of the more fruity characteristics that our IPAs bring to the table.
This isn’t a see-through-clear West Coast IPA, we aimed for a more full-bodied beer from a malt bill that balances out the massive addition of hops. The combination of Nelson, Citra, and Simcoe hops adds aromas of passionfruit and pine, with flavor notes of ripe melon, apricot, and white grape, plus a classic assertive bitterness on the finish.
