Appearance: dark rosey red/ plum purple with moderate retension, fast settling carbination
Aroma: Plum, raspberry, sour tinge, light blueberry, cherry
Taste: A little empty on the front end to be honest, light-moderate notes of ester fruits, berries, cherries, wine. Very VERY mild Lactobacillus notes, and honestly that might be bias. light vanilla does shine through on the backend. - on the second glass the cherry really started to shine through, good stuff
Mouthfeel: smooth, not overly carbonated but enough to get a crisp bite on the tongue, overall light
Overall: Not gonna lie, I am shocked that this is 8% because it drinks much lighter, not in a bad way. Not exactly my style of wild ale, and I realize that. I typically enjoy wild ales that punch me in the mouth, and this is not one of those beers. Overall sold beer, nothing that im going to be bragging about to my friends. Its light and refreshing, could see it paring well with some brie.
