On tap at Out of the Barrel
A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Green, grassy, spicy pine, citrus zest, tropical and stone fruit, a bit floral, crackery malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
T: Bright, spicy pine and slightly dank grassy herbal notes, followed by a mix of citrus, tropical, and stone fruit, pineapple, passion fruit, grapefruit, lemon, lime, apricot, mango, peach, and papaya, floral, crackery biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: A touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, the softness is counterpointed with hop burn
O: Intensely flavorful for a 5% pale. Dare I say it can almost get a bit overwhelming when the flavors and hop burn mix. I think a touch more sweetness would help balance things and carry the flavors a bit smoother. I respect it, but I'm not sure I could handle a 2nd pint.
