Pacific Memories, our newest murky double IPA, features a trio of hops from Washington: El Dorado, Mosaic Cryo, and the experimental HBC 586. With each whiff, an aromatic medley of mango, lime zest, and peach fill the senses, setting the stage for an equally fruity taste journey with notes of ripe pineapple, juicy mango, and guava. Pacific Memories is celebration of tropical flavors, inviting you to immerse yourself in the essence of paradise with every delightful sip.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 12/7/23.
Appearance: hazy pale yellow hue with a thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop. Nice-looking beer!
Smell: citrusy and tropical hop notes on top of a sweetish malt base. There’s a bit of a sharpness to the citrus element here that doesn’t entirely work for me, though.
Taste: sweeter than the aroma suggested, with a nice tropical passionfruit kind of aroma, along with some orange juice flavor as well. The sharpness from the aroma is mostly mitigated, which is good. That said, it is pretty darn sweet.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good, well-integrated carbonation and a nice creaminess.
Overall: even for an 8.5% hazy, this is rather sweet — like the sweetness of a 10.5% beer. So, it kind of falls down on that respect. The hops are decent enough, but not great enough to make up for the sweetness.
