12 oz can poured into mini snifter.

Amber-honey colored, a bit darker than expected, with a tall fluffy head of 2 fingers, leaving lots of lace behind.

Aromas of ripe grapefruit, mango, and candied passion fruit. Slight pine, caramel malts.

Flavor leans old school IPA, with a heavy bit of toffee, then pine, grapefruit, fresh orange peel, faint onion, and a finish of lemon zest. Faint passion fruit can be sampled somewhere in there, but it's buried under the waves of citrus and toffee. A good dose of perfumery on the finish.

Feel is medium bodied with a firm alcohol heat, pretty thick creaminess, and despite the can label it DOES indeed finish dry. That's not a problem for me, I think it works well here.

Overall, another impressive beer from White Elm. Not as good as Paradigm Shift (which is literally half the price per can - $7.99 for a 6 pack vs Inverted's $13.99 for a 4 pack), but is worth checking out if you're a fan of old school IPA and the Galaxy hop.

Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass not sure when it was canned, but a dare say with in a month. Pours a beautiful dark orange with a slight haze and a gorgeous 2 plus finger stick white head that leaves thick rings and streaks of lace.

Smell apricot, tangerine, some mellon, pine, and grapefruit rind.

Taste follows apricot, mellon, tangerine, a little biscuit, caramel, pine, and a healthy shot of grapefruit bitterness in the last swallow.

Mouthfeel is a big medium, plenty of life, maybe a tad dry, and I had know idea it was 9% ABV so it drinks very easy, but has a ton of flavor.

Overall this is a West Meets East IPA, plenty of tropical and bitterness. Well done, thx @jzeilinger for this well rounded DIPA.

Many thanks to tacosandbeer for this can!

A - Slight haziness in the pour with a medium pink orange color. Lacing is dense and bright white in color. As the beer warms a little the haze dissipates and leaves a beer with nice clarity.

S - Dominant passionfruit, melon, with some citrus, overall aroma slants towards the lighter side.

T - Balanced from start to finish, passionfruit and some caramel malt (but very minimal) that shows up about 3/4's through the sip, nice light pine/citrus bitterness on the back end to balance out the malt.

M - Big medium body with gentle carbonation.

O - Nicely balanced and well hidden ABV.

Draft pour to chalice, no head given, no lacing, clear amber color. Nose of light fruit, pine. Taste very well balance of sweet malt, bitter, and tropical fruit. Above average body and average carbonation.
