Poured from a pint can into a tulip.
Pours orange-juice gold and cloudy like an NEIPA in many respects. Not much head or lacing.
Aromas of orange, ruby red grapefruit, and papaya. Hints of grass and resin. Maybe an herbal note.
The brew delivers juicy honey-kissed citrus flavors on the tip of the tongue. The finish is super. Grassy, floral, citrus pith and herbal notes all arrive. These two things balance each other very well. The mid-palate seems lacking and leaves the brew feeling a little hollow and watery for the style.
Great mouthfeel. Medium-bodied, yet light for the style. Excellent carbonation. It isn't "crisp" but it almost gets there. Very drinkable for the ABV.
Lots to compliment here. Great balance. More refreshing than one could hope for for the style. It's just lacking a bit in the complexity department. However, if there is such a thing as a "summer" DIPA, this might be it.
