Poured from a can into a nonic pint.
Pours dark brown and murky. Decent but fleeting head gives way to limited but lingering lacing.
Toasted and caramel malts and faint hops greet the nose, Simple and straight.
The brew hits the tip of the tongue with the same simplicity. Caramel malts forward, with a bit of toast. Graham cracker and toasted light bread in mid stream. Mild earthy and grassy hops at the finish.
The brew has great feel. Nicely carbonated, medium-light in body, and drying at the finish.
Overall, a solid irish red.
