16 oz can
No date, but the can explicitly states to drink this BY May 25th, 2021, so I assume all stores will pull them by this date. Though that's probably not ever going to happen.
Has a ton of fruit in this one I guess. Longest description I've ever seen on the side of a White Elm can. El Dorado and Citra Hops, with lots of pineapple.
I'm drinking this from an Ellipsis trophy glass, it's the glass I use last when nothing else is clean.
Hazy, foggy, but not juicy, blonde, with a finger of head that dwindles to a thin creamy ring with connected lace.
Smells like a brew day, with lots of oatmeal grist and maris otter with floating notes of green hop log and some pineapple in the distance. It's inviting. It's Nebraskan. Definitely a Nebraskan brew day.
Flavor is inviting and delicious. Not flooring, but it plays nicely with the palate. Soft pineapple really comes out here, nearly Dole Whip-like; followed by polite hop bite with moderate bitterness and juicy sharp greenery. The bitterness is mild to moderate, and the sweetness is mild. The malt shines as well. It's very balanced. Oatmeal is huge here. If they didn't use it, I'd be surprised.
Feel is soft, moderately juicy, mildly acidic, no heat, with moderate carbonation.
Overall, it's tasty and it's easy. 7% seems like nothing here. The pineapple softens and sweetens what would probably be a more rudimentary Nebraska IPA, and it works wonders for this beer. It's not something to go tell your friends about, but it's enjoyable as heck. A 12 oz format would be perfect. I'm nitpicking at this point. Won't buy more, but I can't knock it in the least. Decent brewing prowess. Try it once.
