Opaque brown body, tan cap. Cognac, barley, caramel, and oak nose. Taste is way deeper with dark fruit, brown sugar, slight oxidation added. Feel is lighter but somewhat viscous, warm, smooth barley influence is constant, surprisingly thins out a bit by the finish.

White Elm Cognac Barrel Stone The Crow Barleywine, 14% ABV. Pours murky deep-brown, with a one finger off-white head that left no lacing. Nose is toffee, moleasses, and cognac. Taste follows, moderate sweetness, faint bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding. I like this much better than the BBA variant I had last night. The cognac is sweeter, muting the bitterness.
