Pours dark brown with a finger of khaki foam.
Nose is spicy as hell. Either the rum or the coffee is making this appear vegetal. Theres coffee, rum, chocolate, oak, brown sugar. Smells pretty nice.
Taste is really nice as well. Chocolate, coffee, rum, brown sugar, oak, and a mild hint of coconut. It tastes like a dark chocolate Almond Joy. Not too sweet, not too bitter, not too tannic, not too vegetal. A very nice balance.
Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with some pretty vibrant carbonation at the beginning. The ABV and slight tannin presence bring a drying quality.
Overall, an interesting combo of flavors that really works out to create a distinct brew. And done well enough to not be a lopsided mess.
