White Elm Oliver Sir Chungus Imperial Pastry Milk Stout, 11.5% ABV. Pours thick and black with a one-finger brown head that left great lacing. Nose is incredible chocolate, marshmallow, lactose, and cinnamon. Taste follows, quite sweet, moderately bitter. Excellent mouthfeel with adequate carbonation. Nose is much better than the taste, but still excellent.

Pours deep, soul crushing bronze black with a thin, dark bronze head. Aroma is chocolate, a vanilla overtone and sweetness from marshmallow. Taste is not as thick as one supposes, being on the light side of medium, and has chocolate, vanilla and a hint of cinnamon. There is a metallic tang to the profile as well, though that may be only related to my own copy which came from a 16 ounce can. There is little to no carbonation. A sweet milk stout, very much like a pastry stout.

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, patchy head and thin brown ring. Out of all the adjuncts, cinnamon is prominent in the aroma and taste. Makes it difficult for the other adjuncts (cacao, marshmallow) to shine. I was hoping for something more gooey and sweet. Wait....warmth brings out more of the cacao and vanilla, cinnamon subsides a bit.
