Irish Red Ale from Whistle Punk Brewing. Received from @woemad in NBS BIF #15. Stored at 40 degrees after receiving. Reviewed 26/05/22. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Undated can. Served at 43.7 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 55.5 degrees.
Appearance – 3.75
First pour – Between Pale Amber (SRM 9) and Medium Amber (SRM 12), translucent.
Body – Brown (SRM 20), opaque. When rear-lite, orange-amber, and hazy.
Head – Large (Maximum 4.7 cm, aggressive center pour), floral white, high density, average retention, rapidly diminishing to a 0.7 to 1.4 cm undulating crown and a thin, rocky cap.
Lacing – Fair. Single band of torn curtain lacing with multiple drooping stalactites above isolated columns. In general, weak.
Aroma – 3.5 – Weak malt and weaker hops. No yeast.
Flavor – 3.5 – Starts slightly bitter with weak malt and some refreshing hoppiness. No yeast. No ethanol (5.2 % ABV as marked on label) taste or aroma. No gastric warming occurs. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Ends bitter.
Palate – 3.5 – Medium, watery, soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.25 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Generally weak flavors and aromas combine to produce a weak brew. Label shows some clown molesting a group of snakes apparently just out of hibernation.

Reddish amber appearance with slight white head. Aroma is extremely mild. Taste is a very nice clean smooth perhaps biscuit and slight caramel. If you like this style you will like this
