an insanely heady collaboration with hidden mother and varietal, they took wet hops and weed whacked them, like to totally pulp them up and expose all those lupulin glands, more surface area more hop character right? seems like this was a great success, maybe even so much so that others will follow next year, its that intense, hops on steroids, and interestingly enough this isnt all vegetal, full of chlorophyll or green tasting in any way. the hops bring heavy cannabis character to this, sticky resin drenched freshness, and all the good weedy notes on the first rip of something danky like blue raspberry and white airhead candy and purple grapes and mango, really amazing. a little more pine and northwestern bite as it warms up, impossibly oily and saturated, and there is some bitterness unlike a lot of these, but no real overdone hop character to speak of. the process clearly is not just a novelty, as the beer it has yielded is insane. cool what some creative breweries can come up with when they put their heads together. this thing is a triumph, among the best wet hop beers of the season this year, and something i hope they take up again in the future. this is really like nothing ive ever tasted, you think cryo hops or lupulin dust or hop hash are intense, give this one a go! absolutely wonderful!
