Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug.

Appearance: medium brown hue with a dash of haze and a finger of frothy tan foam atop.

Smell: light-ish aroma that has a nice caramel character to it. Not too sweeet, and nicely smooth.

Taste: again, a really smooth caramel flavor with just a hint of astringency and bitterness. Quite good.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: rich in color and flavor, but light, crisp, and refreshing to quaff. I could hang out and drink this all day long!

Pours a clear mahogany brown with a sudsy light tan head that provides ample lacing. Beautiful Munich Dunkel. The nose has lots of wheat bread and a bit of chocolate. Very nice.

The wheat bread is forward and delicious on the taste, but it’s the subtle chocolate flavor that really makes this beer for me - so much flavor in a relatively low ABV (5%), with a crisp mouthfeel to make this a beer you can pound one pint at a time.

I’m a Whistle Punk fan, and this beer is another example why that is the case.

Poured into an Ayinger pint glass. Pours a medium to dark orange red with a one finger light khaki head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of lightly toasted biscuit malt, brown bread and graham cracker. Flavor is bready and biscuit malt, brown bread, a touch of molasses and caramel, lightly nutty. Mild hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A quite authentic tasting Munich dunkel that hits all the flavor notes for the style. Very well balanced from beginning to end with a perfect finish with light hops that are clearly German varieties. Looks and tastes great. Promising introduction to the new-to-me brewery.
