16oz tallboy can purchased at the Millwood location of Whistle Punk Brewing. No freshness date.
Poured into a pseudo-IPA glass, this was a slightly coppery looking shade of golden amber, with a big, fluffy, sudsy, eggshell-white head. Lots of sticky lace.
Grapefruity aroma at first.
Grapefruity flavor up front, but with less immediate bitterness than is generally de rigueur for a WCIPA. Midway through the taste, a piney bitterness does come out to play, but it's reasonably restrained. Finishes dry and fairly crisp.
Medium bodied, with an oily yet crisp mouth feel.
An enjoyable modern WCIPA. I'd hit it again.
