16oz tallboy can purchased at the downtown Spokane Whistle Punk tap room.
Poured into a 16oz tumbler, this was a very chill-hazed lemonaid-like color, with a decent sized, sudsy, bone-white head. Moderate amount of lace.
Citrusy hop aroma. Reminiscent of grapefruit and oranges.
Flavor is a bit more restrained than I expected from the nose, and less bitter. Having said that, there is a moderate, piney bitter backbone running through, but it stays moderate pretty much the whole time. Up front is a juicy, fruity, "melon-y" flavor that is easy to drink. Only at the finish does the bitterness increase beyond contrast purposes, and even then the finish is surprisingly soft on the tastebuds.
Medium bodied, with an oily, resiny quality to the mouth feel.
Quite easy drinking stuff for a WCDIPA, and probably a one-and-done for me if I'm being remotely sensible. Repeated pints of something 8% will definitely wreck me these days. But this goes down easy enough for repeated pints to be tempting.
