Poured from an outrageously expensive 8 ounce can into a Teku glass. "Bourbon and Rye Barrels w/ Coffee"
4.25/4/4.75/4.75/4.25
A: Nice head, opaque, chocolate-brown body.
S: Intense! Roasted malt, booze, and coffee. Sorghum molasses.
T/M: Delightful! Dense, chewy, very substantial. Dripping with sugars, yes, but also a wonderful dark chocolatiness that overwhelms even the pungent coffee. Melted, boozy chocolate, with a hint of bitter bite from both the ABV and (presumably) the hop bill.
O: Complex enough you could never call it one-dimensional, but it is rather ... loud? Obvious? Palette-wrecking? A hefty beer and thank god for the tiny can.

Notes
Malt: Golden Promise, Brown, Roast
Hops: Columbus, Chinook
Yeast: American Ale

L - 1-finger hazelnut head recedes rapidly to nothing. Pitch black body.

S - rye for days. Chocolate, a little coffee, vanilla, caramel.

T - rye-forward with lots of interesting oak interjections into the flavor. Chocolate and vanilla are prominent, but only getting a hint of coffee. Low bitterness. Moderate-low sweetness. Moderate-low booziness.

F - medium-full body with minimal carb.

O - really damn tasty.

The color was deep & dark. The aroma was delicious -- coffee and bourbon. Tasted just likes the aroma and lingered on your tongue. Still a tiny bit thin on the feel. I wish I had more of this RIS.

Enjoyed out of a can on release date.

Look: Jet black liquid with a very foamy head.
Smell: Coffee! then some brown sugar, oats, whiskey.
Taste: Creamy coffee and whiskey, secondary is the maple, chocolate, vanilla, oak. Slight stone fruit in the finish. A bit acidic and fruity.
Feel: Small bite ufront due to the 11% abv, but extremely smooth and enjoyable. creamy coffee feel, like a nitro cold brew.
Overall: This is a serious brew. Relatable to a CBS or Finback Hawk and Whale. Get this while you can. I enjoyed this with a spicy octopus, and it seemed to match perfectly.
